"You wake up, rubbing your eyes to scratch the sleep grit from your eyes, not able to remember falling asleep. The train rattles gently around you and you look around -- the compartments are full of girls your age and it looks they all fell asleep too. A few of the girls are waking up, just as groggily as you and look around, for some confirmation of the time or the location.

Then someone from the corridor calls "We're nearly there!" and there's a bustle of activity as everyone runs to the windows to catch their first glimpse.

Etoile Academy stands gleaming in the sun, marble white and beautiful and secluded from the rest of the world. You know the sight like the back of your hand -- you've dreamed of coming here ever since you were a child, but never really thought that you'd actually be attending. You and your fellow students -- your fellow chosen few -- were invited here by the headmistress, the legendary warrior Golden Soleil, to be educated in the one craft that Etoile teaches.

You're one of the lucky few who, when faced with great danger, was able to transform and defend herself. What followed was a visit from a beautiful young woman, clad in gold and accompanied by a familiar and you were told you had the potential to become something much more than you already were.

And you accepted.

Magical Girl Academy is a panfandom high school AU sandbox game set in a school for magical girls. MGA aims to be a combination of the lighter and darker elements of the magical girl genre, taking inspiration from both the more idealistic series such as Pretty Cure and Sailor Moon as well as Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Princess Tutu.
